A special 2-hour workshopcombining Yin and Restorative Yoga with Therapeutic Touch. Sunday, September 20th, 2-4PM In anticipation of the autumnal equinox, this 2-hour workshop will combine the quiet, yet powerful practice of yin yoga with the healing, rejuvenating practice of restorative yoga. We will begin with yin poses that focus on the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine before exploring deep rest and relaxation in fully supported restorative poses. Certified therapeutic grade essential oils and therapeutic touch will be used to help to facilitate the process of moving deeper into stillness. Karen Steele is Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapist ®, Foot Reflexologist, and Yoga Therapist who has been involved in healing work and spiritual practices since she was a young teenager. Now, over 20 years later, she is known for the consciousness, sensitivity, awareness and compassion she brings to her healing work with clients. Jessica is a certified yoga instructor with specialized training in restorative yoga, yin yoga, yoga for anxiety, stress, trauma, and PTSD, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY). She is currently training as a yoga therapist. Jessica’s passion for teaching is complemented by her commitment to improving mental health and wellness through the sharing of yoga and other mind-body techniques. She is known for her calm and competent teaching style and is skilled at creating a safe and non-judgmental environment for people to explore various healing practices.
